First appointment with Psychologist - 50-60 mins

Any further appointments with Psychologist, after your initial - 50-60 mins

Your GP will need to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for a MHTP.

Potential eligibility includes having both a Mental Health Disorder, along with the likelihood of benefitting from a structured approach to the management of your care needs.

This plan will allow up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.

Your GP will need to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for a CCMP.

Potential eligibility includes a chronic condition that is present, or likely to be present, for atleast 6 months.

A CCMP is generally obtained after you have completed 

10 sessions under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

This plan will allow up to 5 rebated sessions per calendar year.

Your GP will need to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for an EDP.

Potential eligibility includes a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge-Eating Disorder or 

Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder.

This plan will allow up to 40 rebated sessions per calendar year.

Your GP will need to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for Pregnancy Support Counselling.

Potential eligibility includes clients who have any personal concerns relating to a current, or recent pregnancy (within the last 12 months). Whether this be full term, part term, or a planned termination.

This plan will allow up to 3 rebated sessions per calendar year.

If your Private Health policy covers Psychology, you may be eligible to claim a portion of the fee back from your appointments. 

The rebate, along with how many sessions are included, varies, depending on your level of cover. 

You will need to check with the insurer for your individual rebate allowance.
